In this project, Koch Architects designed a 1500sq ft. addition to seamlessly match the existing Mediteranean style of the home. The addition features 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, with a master suite/bath upstairs. The two are joined by a classic sunlit stairwell. The authentic terra cotta roof tiles were preserved from the demolition of the old structure and used for the addition. Custom made wooden windows and doors were used throughout.

Carolyn Walker Davis designed additions in both the front and rear of this ranch style home. Adding to the front of the home opened the kitchen and eating areas to the Golden Gate Park Recreation Area, providing awesome views of the hills and greenery with a row of windows along the southwestern elevation. In the rear, a large master bedroom suite with spacious bathroom and walk-in closets carved the home into the hillside and created a real connection with the outdoors. Fortier Builders worked with the owners directly to select finishes and bring most areas of interior into the present.

Scott and Fortier Builders worked together in true DIY style to get things done at this shoreline home. First they replaced 1000sq.ft. of deck over the Richardson Bay, complete with clear glass railings, and Ipé hardwood decking. Two other small decks were done to match. On the interior, they remodeled a kitchen with custom cabinets and hardwood countertops, and reformed an upper room space to Scott’s new office, an entertainment center, and added a full bath to accommodate the area.
